“Fid” Carlos Ray McGee Sr., 89, of China Grove passed away Thursday May 13, 2021 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born in Forsyth County on September 9, 1931, he was the son of the late Ervin McGee and the late Alice McKnight McGee. Fid was in the Army was served in the Korean war. He was a truck driver and enjoyed fishing and fixing things, he was a jack of all trades and a master at all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie McDaniel McGee and his brothers. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, “Bo” Carlos Ray McGee, Jr. of China Grove and foster son, Father Ron Stone of Pigeon Forge, TN; daughters, Judy McGee Day of Salisbury and Teresa McGee of Thomasville; grandchildren; Heather Worrel (Anthony), Katelyn McGee, Wesley Beck, Ricky Payne, Michael Payne, Chuck Payne (Angel), Brandon Turman and Brandon Drew Lamacchia; great-grandchildren; Kendall Howard, Tyler Payne, Ethan Payne, Carley Sue Payne and Skye Worrel; sisters Betty Hampton of King, NC and Shirley Campbell (George) of Tobaccoville, NC Service: 3:00 PM Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines 4125 Franklin Community Road, Salisbury, NC 28144, with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Ronnie Timmons will be officiating burial will follow in the Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Glenn A.
