Frances Louise Poole

Frances Louise Poole passed away at Trinity Oaks on February 23, 2025, at the age of 96.

She was born on March 22, 1928, in Rowan County to the late John Carr Agner and Gertha Mae Cartner Agner.

Frances graduated from Boyden High School. She thoroughly enjoyed working as a telephone operator for Southern Bell as a young woman. She later worked at Hill Top Nursing Home once the children were grown. Frances volunteered at Rowan Memorial Hospital and for many hours at Pitt County Hospital. Prior to moving to be near her children she had been active at Gospel Light Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband “Jack” Louie Calvin Poole (married in 1949); her oldest son Dr. Max Calvin Poole; and her sister Phyliss Ann Withers.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Randy (wife Jeanne) Poole and Tony (wife Elizabeth) Poole; daughter-in-law Susan Poole; sister Thelma Beatrice Vaughn; grandchildren Jeremy Poole, Josh Poole (wife Martha), and Aaron Poole (wife Kelly); 6 great grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild.

A service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday March 8, 2025, at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
