Gregory Allen Perrigan

Gregory Allen Perrigan, 75, of Rockwell, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

Born in Dickenson, VA on December 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Dessie Perrigan and Darrell Holt.

A veteran of the US Army, Greg was self-employed. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. He was someone who would help anyone who needed him. Greg loved his family with his whole heart and would do anything in the world for them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Holt; mother, Dessie Perrigan; daughter, Melinda Perrigan; sisters, Diane Christian, Thelma Christian, and Martha Nuckles. Brothers, Jimmy, and Larry Christian.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved partner, Deborah Byrd; son, Christopher Byrd; brothers, Tony Christian, and Tim Holt; sisters, Janet Pierce, Barbara Hydorn, Lois Fitzgerald, and Linda Cole; daughter-in-law, Andrea Brown; grandchildren, Gregory Erdman, Katie Perrigan, Scarlett Bird, Leah Byrd, and Lilly Byrd.

A service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144, with military honors conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Joint Services Honor Guard.
