Helen Wilhemina (Virginia) Watkins

Helen Wilhemina (Virginia) Watkins, age 85, passed away on November 14, 2024, at Ann’s Street Senior Living in Kannapolis, NC. She was born on November 9, 1939, to the late Joseph Virginia and Margie Manniwitz Virginia.

Helen was known for her sarcastic smile, kind heart and getting her hair done.  Her strength and determination in everything she set her mind to was extraordinary.  She was the heart and soul of the family and was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her loving husband John Leon Watkins, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: John Watkins, Jr. of Salisbury; Kevin (Holly) Watkins of Rockwell; her grandson Andrew (Bri) Watkins of Charlotte; her great-grandsons Callahan Watkins and Cohen Watkins; her grandson Andrew Glick of China Grove; and her great granddaughter Elizabeth Glick and granddaughter Katelyn Glick of Kannapolis.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on November 17, 2024, at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.

 Before she passed, she made it known that she wanted her family to be together, share a laugh, and raise a glass in celebration of her journey to her final home.
