Howard Stanley Bean, 70, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Born in Rowan County on October 21, 1951, he was the son of Ruth Gobble Bean of Salisbury and the late Raymond Howard Bean.
A veteran of the US Marines, Mr. Bean worked as a control operator for Buck Steam Plant. He was an Assistant Chief with the Miller’s Ferry Fire Department and a member of Trading Ford Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step grandson, Maddox Belew.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheryl Bean of Salisbury; son, Scott Bean (Ann) of Mocksville; step son, Garry Miller of Troutman; daughter, Gaile Armstrong (Bill) of Rohnert Park, CA; step daughter, Kelli Carlino (Charles) of Troutman; sister, Angie Wilson (Greg) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Ryan Bean (Danielle), Kristen Bean, David Bean, Joseph Bean, Alicia Armstrong, Sabrina Armstrong, and Dalton Armstrong; step grandchildren, Morgan Bentley (C.J.), and Mya Belew; great-grandchildren, Caseyn Bean, Allison Parks, Waylon Bean, Landon Bean, Cashton Bean, and Bentley Bean; niece, Tiffany Howell (Travis).
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:45 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Trading Ford Baptist Church, 3600 Long Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146. Service will follow at 2:00 with the Rev. Mike Motley officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Joint Services Honor Guard and Firefighter honors will be conducted by the Miller’s Ferry Fire Department. Burial will take place at Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
