Ida Sue (Christy) Nesbitt

Ida Sue Christy Nesbitt, 89, of Salisbury passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born in Cabarrus County on February 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Mesmer and James W. Christy.

Mrs. Nesbitt worked as a seamstress at Leisure Lads. She was an avid gardener, and working in her garden gave her much pleasure. She dearly loved children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Christy and Jerry Christy.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Barry (Sharon) Nesbitt of Salisbury and Bryan (Sharon) Nesbitt of High Point; grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Nesbitt, Bryan Nesbitt, Jr., Brandon Nesbitt, Jennifer (Thomas) Kotlarz, Jessica Nesbitt, Roena Terrell, and Zackery Nesbitt; great-grandchildren, Allison Nesbitt, Jacob Nesbitt, Wesley Nesbitt, Jacoby Blevins, Aiden Sloop, Kaili Nesbitt, Colin Nesbitt, Felicity Kotlarz, Olive Kotlarz, Roman Kotlarz, and Braylon Stephens.

A private service will be held with the Rev. Josh Copeland officiating.
