Irvin Leo Starnes of Salisbury passed away on December 11th, 2025, at Liberty Commons. He was born April 24, 1935, a son of the late George Martin and Alice Reed Starnes.
Leo was educated in Rowan County Schools and was employed at Dan Nicholas Park and Athena Marble. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by eight sisters: Pauline Burris, Bernice Morgan, Katie Thompson, Odessa Hill, Ruby Barringer, Ruth Atkinson, Mary Jane Lewis, Margie Lowman; Four Brothers; Lloyd Starnes, Herman Starnes, Ronald Starnes, CP Starnes, and Bill Starnes.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 14th at 2:00PM conducted by Dr. Jarrod Lanning
Leo had been a resident of Liberty Commons for a number of years. The staff made him feel at home and showed him love and respect. We thank you for your service. Liberty Home Care and Hospice was his final care giver, and your service was greatly appreciated.
