James Earnhardt

James A Earnhardt passed away at the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center of Salisbury on June 12, 2024, at the age of 77.

He was born in Salisbury on November 17, 1946, to James Adam and Amy Jean Earnhardt.

He served in the US Marine Corps from 1965 through 1969, serving 2 terms in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Patricia Poole of Rockwell and Christine Earnhardt of Salisbury.

James is survived by his loving wife Vickie Earnhardt of the home; his brother Sam (Sherry) Earnhardt of Faith; his brother Reggie (Terri) Earnhardt of Rockwell; his daughter Suzanne Earnhardt of George; his stepdaughter Tammy (Michael) Ridenhour of Millingport; his stepson Steven (Lynne) Hatley of Albemarle; his stepdaughter Brenda Hatley of Albemarle; his stepdaughter Linda (Mike) Russell of Albemarle; his step grandchildren Kenneth Ridenhour, Keith Ridenhour, Dustin Beachum, Tyler Martin, Travis Martin, Joshua Hicks, and Justin Hicks; his 5 step great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on June 24, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Salisbury National Cemetery at 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144. The Lyerly Joint Services Volunteer Honor Guard will be conducting military honors.
