James Edward Kincaid III

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James (Jamey) Edward Kincaid, III, who passed away peacefully in his home on July 18, 2025. Jamey was born on September 29, 1968, and was 56 years old upon death.
A long-term resident of Davie County, Jamey, attended Davie County High School. Jamey had many friends from all walks of life throughout his lifetime. His love of automotive paint and bodywork led to the start of his own business, Kincaid Paint and Body. He had a diving accident 10 years ago that began the decline of his health. A daredevil in his youth, Jamey continued to tackle many health battles with the same spirit over the years. He was a warrior to the very end.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Kathy Grubb; stepfather, Gary Grubb; stepmother, Willie Kincaid; his son, Alex Parr (Chelsey); sister, Wendy Grubb Shelby (David); brother, Kevin Grubb; and his adored nephew and nieces, Drew Shelby, Skylar Grubb, and Emma Shelby. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ryker and Lennix Parr.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Kincaid II.
A private viewing was held on Monday, July 21st, at Lyerly Funeral Home, with cremation following.
