James Lowery

James Lowery, 75, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born in Johnson City, TN on June 2, 1947, he was the son of the late Dorothy Percell Lowery and Lodie Frank Lowery.

Mr. Lowery served in the National Guard of Tennessee and worked as a cook at Richard’s Bar-B-Q. He was a member of Life Church and loved to spend his days painting and carving walking canes.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherry Daniel Lowery of Salisbury; daughter, Vanessa Lowery of Salisbury; brother, Jerry Lowery of Spencer; sister, Jean Ann Waldron of Salem, VA; grandchildren, Mykenzie Modlin, Max Martin, and Gavin Martin; great-grandchildren, Malakhi and Mylanah Ma’lee.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Life Church, 708 Jake Alexander Blvd W, Salisbury, NC 28147. Service will follow at 7:00 PM at the church with Pastor James Sharp officiating.
