James “Jimmy” Carlton Hooper, Jr. passed away at home on January 4, 2026, at the age of 66.
He was born on May 5, 1959, to the late Louise Hunter Hooper and James Carlton Hooper, Sr. Jimmy graduated from South Rowan High School and worked as a Truck Driver and a Diesel Mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Denise Hooper Black and Tonia Hooper, as well as his nephew David Black.
Left to cherish his memory are his niece Erin Bongard (Brent); great-nephew Andrew McGee; great-niece Kyndal McGee; cousins Anita Hunter and Nicole Cline; and girlfriend Tammie Sherrill.
In keeping with Jimmy’s wishes, there will be no memorial services at this time.
