Jamie Yates

Jamie Yates, 58, of Salisbury passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Rowan County on September 12, 1964, she attended North Rowan and lived in Rowan County her whole life.

Mrs. Yates worked at Restoration Plus for several years, before starting her own business, One on One. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle. Mrs. Yates loved going to the beach and mountains, hiking and visiting new places. She enjoyed being outside and attending to her flowers. She loved to cook and have cookouts with friends and family. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren so she could spoil them rotten. She loved her two dogs, Priscilla and Minnie, and taking them to places with her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry “Bud” Gilbert and her grandparents, Gilmer and Dorothy Curlee.

Left to cherish her memory are the love of her life, Randy Yates; daughter, Brittiny Kirkpatrick; mother Brenda Gobble; brother, Todd Leazer (Diane); sisters, Lori Curry (Junebug) and Susie Lohr (James); grandchildren, Leah, Levi, and Evelyn.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Life Center at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146.
