Janet (Allen) Graham

Janet Allen Graham, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2023, at the age of 61. Janet was born on May 18, 1961, to loving parents, Jimmy and Edith Allen who instilled in her the values of family, hard work and kindness.

Janet was a devoted wife to her husband Doug Graham, with whom she was married to for 43 years. After many years of praying for a child, they were blessed with a miracle–the birth of their beautiful daughter Chelsea, who Janet adored. Janet and Doug raised Chelsea in a home filled with love and laughter and later welcomed Chelsea’s husband Wesley whom they both considered to be like a son. Chelsea and Wesley blessed Janet with two precious grandchildren, Graham (4) and Sadie (1), who she had the privilege of seeing every day. She loved her family and cherished moments spent with them and will no doubt continue to watch over them.

Janet was known for her infectious sense of humor, her silly antics, and her ability to bring joy and laughter to everyone around her. She had a talent for making even the most mundane moments memorable and was always the life of the party. Janet's love for her family was her driving force, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with them or show them how much she cared. She loved spending time with family and friends at their place at Lake Norman. Janet's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Janet was also a dedicated employee and worked for Carolina Brick Co., National Starch and then retired from Freightliner in 2021.

Janet is survived by her husband, Doug, her daughter, Chelsea, son-in-law, Wesley, and her grandchildren, Graham and Sadie, as well as many other family members and friends.

She will be honored in a loving and uplifting service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17 at Christ United Methodist Church with visitation to follow with family. Her brother-in-law, Brad Hoots, has been asked by the family to lead the ceremony where he will share special memories of Janet and also pay honor to a lady that will never be forgotten.
