Janice (Haynes) Lentz

Janice Haynes Lentz, 83, of Spencer passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Rowan County on May 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Molly Scott and Raymond Haynes.

Janice worked as a clerk at Belk’s and was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She loved animals and was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lentz; sisters, Colleen Haynes Hoffner, June Haynes, Gaynelle Haynes Shafer, and Sandi Haynes Frick; brothers, James Haynes, Joe Haynes, and Bud Haynes.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Bill Haynes of Rockwell and sister, Peggy Haynes Deal of Rockwell.

Service: 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1908 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144 with Pastor John Tucker officiating.
