Janie Louise Taylor passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 91.
She was born on April 29, 1932, in Rowan County to the late Samuel White Cranfield and Mary Leonard. She was a member of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Donald Taylor; her granddaughter Hannah Elizabeth Godbey; her grandson Joseph Steven Talbert; and her brothers Ralph Cranfield and Johnny Hinson.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Eddie Taylor (Teresa) of Mocksville; her daughters, Mary “Snookie” Dayvault (Phillip) of Kannapolis and Barbara Roseman (Jamey Waller) of Mocksville; her brother Luther Cranfield of Salisbury; her sister Mildred “Shorty” Burkhart of Lexington; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will occur at 1:00-2:45 pm on Friday February 23, 2024, at Rowan Memorial Park’s Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center, Salisbury, NC 28144. A service will be at 3:00 pm. An entombment will follow in the Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Reynolds.
