Jean Ann Sivori Matthews passed away on July 6th, 2020 in Salisbury, NC.

Jean Anne Sivori Matthews was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 23, 1940, the daughter of John and Annette Sivori. Jean married Robert, “Bob” Matthews, on 7-29-95 and were married for 23 years. Jean is remembered as a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She always put her family first and found great joy in loving and caring for the children in her life. Jean was talented at managing finance l affairs as she worked for BB &T Bank for over 20 years. She also worked for American Greetings and Avon. Jenn had a huge heart for serving others was devoted to her volunteer work at her church at Ardmore Baptist Church, Meals on Wheels and served as the treasurer for over 15 years for Forsyth Civitians. Her favorite hobbies were bridge and travelling Europe with Bob. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family at family gatherings. Friends and family remember Jean as a beautiful, kind, faithful, generous, loving woman with a warm presence. Her smile could light up any room and children were drawn to her wherever she went. Jean was a beloved and dedicated member of her church at Ardmore Baptist, for over 30 years. She served by teaching Sunday School and being the leader of a mission group and watering the plants at the church. Jean is also survived by her brother,John Sivori and his wife Diane. Jean is also survived by 3 children, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Don Hamrick and his wife Sandee, Bill Hamrick, and his wife Selina, and Julie and her husband Dale, Her grandchildren include Wesley Hamrick and his wife, Catie (and daughter Nolie), Sarah Hamrick and her husband, Josh Kellogg (and their daughters, Isabelle and Eleanor), Bradley Hamrick and his wife, Sydney, Shawn Hamrick and his wife, Checka (and their children, Emma and Lucas), Alex Hamrick and his fiancé, Claire Daniels, Chandler Keith, Christian Keith, Kyle Smith and his wife, Charise (and their children Brayden and RaeLynn), Kurt Smith and his wife, Heather (and their children, Kaedyn and Hunter)Ashly Hudson and her husband Bryan (and their daughter Lily and Charlotte), and Gray Wise.
