Jean Lewis Parrish, 78, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
Jean was born February 21, 1941, in Forsyth County, NC the daughter of the late James Vernon Lewis, Jr. and the late Susie Jenkins Lewis Branch. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Parrish, and brother, Jay Lewis. Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Buddy Parrish, Bill & Sonya Parrish, and Teresa Parrish Coughenour all of Salisbury. Grandchildren include Kelly Jordan, Crystal & Kenny Nottingham, Buddy Parrish Jr, Heather & Brandon Compton, Hannah & Kestler Ruth, Billy Jr. & Megan Parrish, Misty Parrish, Hobie & Destiny Parrish, Hunter Parrish, Ariel Coughenour, and Hallie Parrish. Great-grandchildren include Braelyn Compton; Kestler Jr. and Khloe Ruth; Addalyn Parrish; and Wade Parrish. Visitation: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Cleveland First Baptist Church, 200 Maple Street, Cleveland, NC 27013 with service to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kestler Ruth officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park 4125 Franklin Community Road, Salisbury, NC 28144. The family has asked for memorial gifts be made to Cleveland First Baptist Church, 200 Maple Street, Cleveland, NC 27013 Lyerly Funeral Home is serving the Parrish family.
