Jerry Albert Swink passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital on April 8, 2025, at the age of 76.
He was born on February 27, 1949, in Rowan County to the late Eva Cash Swink and David Adam Swink.
Jerry graduated from East Rowan High School in 1967. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Celanese.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew Kevin Efird and his brother Jonathan “Johnny” Swink.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Linda Efird of Gold Hill and Janice Swink of Salisbury; his nephews Kelly Efird (Ashley) of Granite Quarry and Ricky Efird of Rockwell; as well as 3 great nephews.
A service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday May 13, 2025, at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144. Military Honors will be provided by the Lyerly Volunteer Joint Military Honor Guard.
