Jimmie Rogers Holshouser ,91, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at her home. Born in Dillon, SC on January 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Timothy Mack Rogers and Danie Bryant Rogers.
Jimmie graduated from Lake View High School in South Carolina. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Salisbury. She retired from General Electric after 19 years and then went to Gentiva to work for another 12 years. She dedicated a lot of her time to people she cared for through Gentiva. She will be remembered for her kindness to all that knew her.
She went through some hard times in her life, but the joy of Christ gave her an abundance of peace. Jimmie loved flowers, the beach, country music, and also sports, especially football.
She is preceded in death by three sons, James Allen, Frank Allen, and Wayne Allen; brother L. H. Rogers; sister Margaret Miller; grandson Jayson Strong; brother-in-laws Roscoe Miller and Daryl Dukelow; and son-in-law Charles Agner.
Those left to cherish are her husband, Steve Holshouser, whom she was married to for 53 years; daughter Donna Allen Agner of Salisbry; son Ronnie Allen (Kerry) of Salisbury; brother Danny Rogers (Debbie) of Salisbury; sister Linda Dukelow of Salisbury; grandchildren Amber Allen (Jon) of Concord, Autumn Strong of Arkansas, Natalie Overcash (Adam) of Salisbury, Hannah Ketchie (Baxter) of Salisbury, and Madison Allen of Salisbury, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Novant Hospice of Rowan for their exceptional care and compassion. We would specifically like to thank Susan Strawn, Tiffany Mitchell, Sheakia Long, Leslie Reed, and Colleen Moore for their support and guidance through a difficult time.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday October 6, 2025, at Providence United Methodist Church, 6450 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146. A service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Barry Queen officiating.
