John Irvin Davis

John Irvin Davis, 80, of Salisbury passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Baltimore, MD on December 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Gladys Childress Davis and John Lincoln Davis.

Mr. Davis was a 1961 graduate of East Rowan High School. He enjoyed spending time at their mountain house, gardening, and fishing. He owned and operated AIRCHF for many years. He was well known in the community and will be truly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Davis and sisters, Brenda Davis, Carolyn Davis, and Lois Davis.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Lee Ann Cook of China Grove, NC and Laura Beaver of Chickasha, OK; brothers, Larry Davis and Billy Davis; sister, Magdeline Watson; grandchildren, Rhiannon Poolaw and Abigail Vargas; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Poolaw, Serenity Vargas, and Hope Vargas and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144. Service will begin at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
