John Felix Rink

John Felix Rink, age 96, of Salisbury, went to his forever home on August 16, 2023.

Born February 7, 1927, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Hillery Hudson and Ethel Fleming Rink. He graduated from Boyden High School in 1943 and Catawba College in 1949.

He was a lifetime member of Corburn United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran. He was a committee member of Troop 448 of Corburn Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Carolene R. Peeler, Naomi R. Bernhardt and Dorothy R. Adams and brothers Hillery H. Rink Jr., Joe L. Rink and Donald E. Rink.

Survivors include son John “Jeff” F. Rink Jr., and wife Connie and grandchildren Parker and John of Mt. Pleasant SC, daughter Jenny Craft of Salisbury and granddaughter Megan.

He is also survived by his longtime companion, Ann P. Weatherford and four-legged beloved Molly. Also, his family by choice Steve and Cindy Weatherford (Nikki and Sid), Bill and Jamee Weatherford (Caroline and Elizabeth) and Kathy and Gheorghe Teodorovici (Lauren & Stefen Petry, Gabriel & Tiffany Teodorovici and Morgan), six great grandchildren: Dash Dixon, Kinsley, Elanore & Maven Teodorovici, Rainer and Uriah Petry.  The family would like to thank Bayada and Novant Home Health for their loving care of John.

Visitation: Coburn UMC, Saturday August 26, 2023 11:00 am service 12:00 pm with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. Cindy Ramirez to officiate service. Military honors will be conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Joint Service Honor Guard.
