Johnnie Mae Parker Davis “Cooter Hipps” 64 of Salisbury passed away Monday November 8, 2021.
She is the daughter of the Late Nettie Earl Hipps and John Wilson. Born on February 26, 1957, in Rowan County. She attended Dunbar of East Spencer.
Johnnie was a member of Living Water Deliverance Church. She was the founder of Living Water Ministries of Salisbury and was always a helping hand in the community. Johnnie had the gift of a servant’s heart. She always was trying to reach others where they were. She enjoy doing outreach ministries and loving her community. She was a loving mother, grandmother and that special “Aunt Cooter”.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Davis, son Terry Lee Wilson, both her parents, brothers Kelly “Dule” Hipps, Eddie “Dikki” Hipps sister Betty “Sissy” Hipps Long, brother- n-laws Calvin Overstreet, Johnny “Mack” Gresham
Those left to cherish her are her daughter Melissa Parker of Salisbury granddaughters Meliya Parker of Greensboro, PaigeLyn Miller of Salisbury brother Anthony Hipps “Pop”, sisters Brenda Gresham of Salisbury, Priscilla Overstreet of East Spencer, Doretha Reddick (Mason) of Richmond Va. and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 pm Monday November 15, 2021, at Holy Tabernacle of Jesus Christ 325 Malcolm Rd. Salisbury NC 28144 with a candle lighting ceremony following visitation.
