Jon Thomas Ferebee

Jon T. Ferebee, 67, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at his residence after fighting a long and hard battle with cancer.

Born in Niles, Michigan on August 17, 1953, he was the son of the late Beatrice E. Sonnerleiter Ferebee and Herbert Wayne Ferebee.

Jon served in the US Army for 10 years from 1982-1992 during Desert Storm, where he received a Bronze Star. He later worked as a beaming operator at Celanese. Jon loved to shoot guns and reload his own ammo. He was very knowledgeable in trivia and had a wonderful sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Ferebee.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Teresa Gerold Ferebee, whom he married on August 16, 1980; daughter, Jessica Ferebee Hearington of Buchanan, MI; grandchildren, Kade and Jacob Hearington and special nephew, Nicholas Propst of Maiden, NC.

A service will be held at a later date.
