Joseph Michael “Mike” Page, 60, of Salisbury passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center.
Born in Mecklenburg County on June 4, 1962, he was the son of the late Demitra Skidmore Crayton and the late Billy Maxx Redd.
Mr. Page attended Sedgefield Junior High and Myers Park High School in Charlotte. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Desert Storm. He was a baseball umpire for most of his life and refereed other sports occasionally. Mr. Page was a member of the Veteran’s Golf Association. Broadmoor Athletic Association is where he grew up playing sports and through that he started his umpiring career and has had lifelong friends through it. He enjoyed buying and selling sports cards and memorabilia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tres Page.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jana Spence Page, whom he married on April 25, 2009; stepfathers, Arthur Page and Tom Crayton; sons, Joseph Michael Page, Jr., Jeramie Page, and Alexander Gutierrez; daughters, Margaret Miller and Abigail Gutierrez; sister, Patsy Page; grandchildren, Jeramie, Jordan, Jaylon, Waylon, Dyani, and Everly; mother and father-in-law, Beth and Jim Spence; brother-in-law, Rick Spence (Deseree); furbabies, Roxie, Lucy, Peyton, and Gracie and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146. Service will follow at 12:30 PM at the church. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
