Joseph Scott Shaver

Joseph Scott “Scotty” Shaver passed away on Friday November 24, 2023, at the age of 77.

He was born on August 26, 1947, in Rowan County to Curtis Paschach Shaver and Beatrice Mabel Smith. He graduated from West Rowan High School, Pfeiffer College, and then went on to get a Doctorate in Chemistry in Florida.

Scotty loved his family and friends and was quietly confident in his ways. He was most happy showing his car collection, dove hunting with buddies, and most of all spending time on his beloved farm. Mr. Shaver was also a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his many cousins.

A memorial will be held Tuesday December 12, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Franklin Baptist Church, 3810 US-601, Salisbury, NC 28147. The Rev. Joe Thomas will be officiating.
