Joseph Paul Wilson

Joseph Paul Wilson, 83, of Salisbury passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Rowan County on July 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Mary Viola Freeman Wilson and Thomas Theodore Wilson, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Goldia Faye Gulledge Wilson, who passed away on May 3, 2020; brothers, Thomas T. Wilson, Jr., Giles Ray Wilson (Pauline), and Wallace Luke Wilson; sisters, Hazel Wilson Dorsett (Clyde) and Myrtle Wilson Leonard (Olen); special friend, Peggy Beaver Wilson.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-law, Donna Wilson; nieces, Doreen Lloyd and Sabrina Kelley; grandniece, Misty Dobler; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and friends, Vernon Bennett, Chuck Lloyd. Cheryl Lippard, Kay Beaver, and Carol O’Brien.

He will be remembered for his kindness to help others and his love of animals.

A graveside memorial will be held at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144 on Sunday March 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
