Judy Diane (Hunsucker) Rogers

Judy Diane Hunsucker Rogers, age 70, passed away at the Novant Rowan Medical Center on Tuesday February 6, 2024.

She was born on September 3, 1953, in Rowan County to the late Ruby Morgan Hunsucker and William C. Hunsucker.

Judy attended East Rowan High School and later worked at the Quaker Furniture in Hickory.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Tommie and Dennis Hunsucker.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jimmy “J.R.” Rogers(married April 1, 1997); her daughter Sandy Rogers (Gregory Lyerly) of Rockwell; 2 grandchildren, John W. Daugherty III “Jaime” and Kelsey S. Hamilton; 3 great grandchildren,  Thomas, Nolan, and Ava Daugherty; her brother Jerry Hunsucker of Rockwell; and her fur baby “Buddy”.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to the Rowan County Animal Shelter, 160 Adoption Way, Salisbury, NC 28146.

Judy’s wishes were to be cremated and to have no service.
