Katherine Darlene Torrence

Katherine Darlene Torrence passed away on Monday December 04, 2023, at the age of 61 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

She was born on February 15, 1962, in Onslow County to Richard Torrence and the late M. Elizabeth Phillips.

Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved cats. She spent hours crafting, journaling, and organizing. She loved listening to gospel music and worshiping her Lord and Savior. Kathy was a charter member of Destiny City Church for 13 years.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her infant son Stephen Torrence.

Left to cherish her memory is her father Richard Torrence from King, NC; her sister Sandra Poole (Brian) in Salisbury, NC; her nieces Katelynne Simpson (Lauren) of Granite Quarry, NC and Sydney Holmes (Roby) of Salisbury, NC; great-nephew Jace Simpson of Granite Quarry, NC; great-niece Ellary Holmes of Salisbury, NC; and her best friend of 30 years, Karen Davidson of Newton, NC.

Visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00 on Tuesday December 12, 2023, at Destiny City Church, 2324 S Main St. Salisbury, NC 28147. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 at the church with Rev. Don Vess officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
