Kathy (Cook) Newell

Kathy Newell passed away at her home on February 13, 2025, at the age of 60.

She was born on February 4, 1965, in Rowan County to Jerry Cook and Peggy Livengood Cook.

Kathy worked as a Graphic Designer for Medline. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, crocheting, cooking, and her chickens.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Judy Cook.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Duane Newell; mother Peggy Cook; daughter Alisha Taylor; brother Mike Cook; grandchildren Nathaniel Davis and Ayden Davis; 3 bonus children, and 9 bonus grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
