Kathy Lorrene Owens

Kathy Lorrene Owens passed away on Sunday February 11, 2024, at the age of 70.

She was born on July 23, 1953, in Rowan County to the late Charliebell Jones and John Wesley Bailey.

Kathy was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She loved her church and going to the beach with members of her church. She also loved bingo and dancing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Michael Owens, Sr. (54 years); her grandson Winston Shelton Wishon; and her brothers Charles, Jimmy, David, Garry, and John.

Left to cherish her memory is her son William M. Owens, Jr.; her daughter Lisa Owens Wishon (Jerry Boger); her sisters Charlene Helmstetler and Mary Jane Cook (Tracy); several nieces and nephews; her grandson Matthew David Wishon; and her great-granddaughter Savannah Elise Wishon.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at New Hope Baptist Church, 555 Neisler Rd, Concord, NC 28025..
