Kenneth C. McAlister, age 78, born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at his home in Salisbury, North Carolina.

After his service, he built a life centered on family, friendships, and simple joys.
Kenneth was a lifelong New England sports fan, devoted through good seasons and bad. He enjoyed discussing the games with his son. He also had a passion for the outdoors, especially for bass fishing. Many of his favorite days were spent on the water with close friends, sharing stories, laughter, and quiet moments in nature.
He shared 50 years of love and companionship with his devoted wife, Carol Ann McAlister. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Wayne and Keith McAlister, his children Shelley Reed, Stacie Salgado, Sean McAlister, and Stephanie (Steven) Hawley; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, humor, and strength.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Aileen McAlister, and a brother, Alan McAlister. Kenneth will be remembered for his warm heart, gentle spirit, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family. His life was a blessing to all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
