Larry E. Adair, 68, of Boonville passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.
Born in Lindsay, CA on May 26, 1951, he was the son of the late Maxine Ellen Musgrave Adair and Thomas Jefferson Adair.
Larry was a veteran of the US Air Force and earned his bachelor’s degree during his military service at the Community College of the Air Force. He worked as a ground equipment mechanic in the Air Force. Larry was a member of Peacehaven Baptist Church in Yadkinville, NC and a member of the American Legion. He loved square dancing and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Roy Adair and sister, Irene Ellen Shiver.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lynette A. Adair, whom he married on April 9, 1971; daughters, Michelle M. Flynt (Tony) of Yadkinville, NC and Valerie D. Harding (Aaron) of Boonville, NC; grandchildren, Branden (Callie) Adair, Alex (Becky) Flynt, Stephanie Flynt, Luke Harding and Kayla Harding; great-grandchildren, Chase and Adrian Adair.
A service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Lyerly Funeral Home, 523 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC 28144 with Pastor Jon Bowman officiating.
