Linda Collins Barber of Salisbury peacefully departed this world on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the age of 75 after declining health the past year.
She was born on June 3, 1948 to the late William “Bill” and Ruth Collins.
Linda was an angel to everyone that met her and will be remembered for her kind and giving nature. She enjoyed working at Carolina Color in Salisbury until the time she retired. She loved her dog Lucy. Linda was a lifetime Nascar race fan and loved Richard Petty. She was a huge fan of Rowan Legion baseball games and was a dedicated listener to our local Memories 1280 radio station.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charlie Lee Barber, daughter Sherry Errante, brother Ray Collins, and sister Darlene Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memory sister Lou Shanks of Greenville, TN; brother Doug Towell of Salisbury; brother-in-law Tommy Barber of Lexington; brother-in-law Gene Spry and sister-in-law Virginia Spry of Salisbury; grandson Jacob Errante; granddaughter Baylee (Marshall) Pinkston; great grandson Cole Pinkston; many nieces and nephews, as well as cherished friends. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the Columbarium at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Road, Salisbury, North Carolina 28144.
