She was a member of Liberty Baptist Chruch for more than 30 years, where she taught Sunday school and directed Christmas plays.
She was a member of the Ladies of Liberty and spent much of her time after retiring loving and supporting her grandchildren and volunteering at Shepherds Elementary School. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, reading, cross stitching, needlepoint, and puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan, of Mooresville, N.C.; brother Steve Duke (Debora) of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Joe “Trey” Isaac of Mooresville, N.C., and Gabrielle Allison (Jonathan) of Fayetteville, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
