Linda Louella Walton

Linda Louella Walton passed away of natural causes in her home on December 17, 2023, at the age of 79.

She was born on October 24, 1944, in Lee County, SC to Obsy Watkins and Lola Boykin Watkins.

Mrs. Walton graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She worked as a weaver for Cannon Mills before retiring. She was also a devoted member of Christian Baptist Church in Linwood. Linda was a loving mother to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Walton; her daughter, Shannon Stirewalt; her granddaughter, Caroline Stirewalt; and her grandson Michael Stirewalt.

Left to cherish her memory is her son James Walton of Salisbury; her daughters Darlene Adkins (Jeff) of Lexington and Cyndi Wright of Darlington, SC; her brother Gary Watkins of China Grove; her sister Margie Cook of Concord; her 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren; and her best fur babies Jill and Patches.

Visitation will be at 11:00 am Thursday December 28, 2023, at the Christian Baptist Church, 11946 S NC Hwy 150, Linwood, NC 27299.
