Louie "Lou" Sam Crye

Louie “Lou” Sam Crye, 84, of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Davis Hospital in Statesville, NC after a very short and hard battle with COVID.

Born on November 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Pattie J.V. Jordan Crye and Ernest Lester Crye.

Mr. Crye attended UNC Chapel Hill and High Point University. He was a volunteer at the VA Hospital for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Ernestine Harris of Star, NC, Angela McManus (Gary) of York, SC, and Patty Crye of Hendersonville, NC; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, 3 great great nieces and 4 great great nephews.

Mr. Crye was buried with full military rites and honors at Salisbury National Cemetery on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
