Marc Christopher "Chris" Fries

Marc Christopher “Chris” Fries, 65, went to be with Jesus on April 20, 2023, at his home with his family by his side, in Salisbury, NC.  He was born on June 7, 1957, in Salisbury, NC to his parents Sheila and Terry Fries.

Chris was a 1975 graduate of North Rowan High School. He was a wonderful loving husband of 35 years to Kelli, whom he married in 1988. He was the best Daddy to Hillarie, Colton, and Corey. A humble man, funny, hard working, a huge Atlanta Braves fan, and could fix anything that was broken. He was a fun-loving Pappy to his grandson Gavin, and a precious caring son to his Mom and Dad. "He was a kind gentleman to the end," says Trinity Living Center and Trellis Supportive Care. Chris loved his dogs, Holly girl, and his grand dogs Bayou and Pinto Bean. Chris held many titles throughout his life, from electrician, to player agent and coach of Spencer Little League, T.V. repair with his Daddy, and an active board member for many years in his church at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church. Chris loved to fish and hunt. He was a volunteer firefighter for 25 years for Ellis Fire Dept. His favorite part of life was being a Daddy and spending time making memories with his family. Chris was our rock...now he will be our twinkling star in the night sky, our guiding light forever! He is healed and in the arms of Jesus!  

Chris is survived by his wife, Kelli Pegram Fries, his parents Terry and Sheila Fries of Salisbury, his son Colton Fries and wife Miranda of China Grove, his son Corey Fries and fiancée Courtney of Salisbury, his daughter Hillarie Fries of Henderson, his brother Todd Fries of Gold Hill, his sister Robin Fries Taylor and husband Keith of Salisbury, and his grandson Gavin Carroll of Henderson NC.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 29, at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, located at 4250 Old Mocksville Rd., Salisbury NC. The family will receive friends and family at 2 pm, with the service to follow at 3 pm.
