Margaret Willard Obituary

Margaret A. Willard, 72, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.

Born in Rowan County on February 3, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clarence Doyle and Besie Lillian Lentz.

Margaret was a 1968 graduate of West Rowan High School. She worked for the Rowan Salisbury School System as a cafeteria worker and loved baking cakes, fishing, and drinking sweet tea.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Cowboy” Willard and brother, Robert “Sonny” Clarence Doyle, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Hibbett (Tim) of Thomasville, Becky Peeler (Richard) of Granite Quarry, Angela Webb (Dennis) of Woodleaf; brother, Jimmy Doyle (Sylvia) of Salisbury; sister, Jane “Tiddy” Beck of Mooresville; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at her residence on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 PM.
