Mario James Anderson

On Tuesday, June 16 at 6:07 pm Mario James Anderson, who was a King as well as a mighty warrior, transitioned from his physical life and began his journey into the spiritual realm of essence. Mario was granted the gift to rest in peace by the Almighty Divine and Omnipotent Creator as seen fit.

Mario was born June 7th, 1965 in Frankfurt, Germany and was later raised by his regal mother Hanna Anderson and his endearing father William James Anderson in Fayetteville, NC. He trail blazed the path of life for his three younger brothers Johnny, Isaac, and Mike as they endured trying times and humble beginnings together. Mario graduated from 71st Senior High School in June of 1983 and enlisted in the United States Army wherein he served a four year term as an Avionics Helicopter Mechanic. He was known as an intelligent and gentle soul who once in a while would crack corny jokes coupled with a goofy laugh. He was very knowledgeable in History and Science and would drop random facts at any given moment.

Mario is survived by his brothers (Johnny, Mikey, and Isaac, Nelson and Derrick) his sisters (Faye, Gail, and Karla), several nephews and nieces, two aunts (Diane

and Shirley) along with several cousins, in-laws, and a few loyal and loving friends since childhood.

Mario will be tremendously missed and his family’s and friends’ love for him shall infinitely remain as he continues to live on in their fondest memories.

Take flight unto the Heavens and go where freedom has no price-

Knowing that you will always be highly spoken of and thoroughly represented.

A graveside service will occur at 1:30 pm on July 6, 2026 at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144. A celebration of life will be after the service at the American Legion, 1024 Lincolnton Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
