Marion Vernel Adams Comer passed away at Kiser Hospice House on November 1, 2025, at the age of 83.
She was born on June 25, 1942, in Richmond, VA. She was the child of the late Bessie Basket Brown, stepfather Jim Brown, and Williams Rufus Adams.
Marion graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1961, and she also attended a beauty college. She was a homemaker. In her later years she loved shopping and talking with family on the phone for hours. When she was younger, she loved making pottery with her sister.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Irvin Comer; grandson Damien Roberts; sisters Doris and Iris; and brother Wayne.
Left to cherish her memory are her son James Burton (Burt) Comer of Salisbury; grandson Jonathan Leach (Vanity) of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandson Hayden Leach of Waco, TX; daughter-in-law Christine Comer; special cousin Myrtle Ware of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters-in-law Donna Adam and Carol Comer, both of Virginia.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday November 7, 2025, at Washington Memorial Gardens in Sandston, VA.
