Mark Allen Burnette

Mark Allen Burnette, 58, of Salisbury passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born in Richmond, VA on October 18, 1964, he was the son of the late Alice Marion Posselt Burnette.

Mr. Burnette graduated from Huntington High School in New York. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked as a locomotive electrician. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Salisbury. Mr. Burnette was a civil war fanatic and loved history. He also loved motorcycles and living a great life with his family.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Burnette.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Wendy Ostermeier Burnette; son, Michael Burnette; nephew, Kevin Burnette.

Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:00 PM on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 223 N Fulton St, Salisbury, NC 28144. Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Brian Farmer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Salisbury, in memory of Mark Allen Burnette.
