Mary Frances (Yost) Basinger

Mary Frances Yost Basinger went to be with the Lord on March 24th, 2025.

She was born on June 12, 1927, in Rowan County.

 She left behind her son Fred Basinger "Jr" and granddaughter Tiffany Michele Hall Rhodes of Kannapolis, and her grandson Michael Todd Basinger (Mary) of Mocksville. Along with Fred and Tiffany, the largest family she had was through Messiah Lutheran Church and the AA program.

Mary volunteered through Rowan Helping Ministries most of her life and helped numerous people. Not only was she a mother to Tiffany and Junior, but she was also a mother to many of her AA family. There are so many people hurting from her loss. She was the most amazing and strong woman anyone had ever met.

The visitation will be held from 11:00 am-12:00pm on Monday March 31, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 701 E Lafayette St, Salisbury, NC 28144. A service will be held at 12:00 pm with Rev. Don Safrit officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144. We look forward to seeing ALL her family and friends on Monday.
