Maryann Hodder, 81, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. Born on January 26, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, Maryann carried the heart, spirit, and warmth of her hometown throughout her life. She later made her home in Salisbury, North Carolina, where she spent her later years surrounded by family and love.

For 61 beautiful years, Maryann was married to the love of her life, Charlie Hodder. Their bond was one of unwavering devotion, partnership, and joy — a love story cherished by all who knew them.

Maryann had a vibrant personality and a life full of passions that brought her happiness. She loved Mahjong, spending time playing bingo, shopping for little treasures, tending to her adored plants, and caring for her beloved dog, Spike, who was her constant companion.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Loretta and Lisa, and by her children — Christopher, Jennifer, Michelle and husband David who will forever hold her close in their hearts. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Nicolas, Justin, Alexa, Ava, Tyler, and Samantha, each of whom brought her pride and joy.

May Maryann be embraced by God’s love and rest in eternal peace. Her memory will continue to shine brightly through the family and friends who loved her dearly.
