Maude Maxine Thomas, 91, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 29th. She was born January 12, 1933 in Charlotte, NC.
Maxine married Ralph Graham Thomas December 24, 1949. They had 4 sons, Ralph Jr., Tom, Stuart, and Curt. The joy of her life was being a homemaker, mother, and “Mrs. Thomas” to the many friends her sons brought home, many saying she was a mother to them as well.
She was a dedicated Christian and loved sharing Jesus with others. She taught children’s Bible classes into her 80’s at churches in Salisbury and Winston Salem, and held home studies for her grandchildren during Covid. In her last years she organized and taught a Bible study at the independent living facility where she lived.
Maxine never met a stranger, and was an encourager and friend to all. She was preceded in death her husband Ralph, father and mother, Glen and Hazel Norris, and son Ralph Jr.
Left to cherish her memory, son’s Tom(Wanda) of Winston Salem, NC, Stuart(Stephanie) of Southaven, MS, Curt(Jana) of Salisbury, daughter-in-law Trudy of Palm Bay, FL, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held November 27th at 1:00 pm at the Veterans Memorial Park, Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC. Visitation to follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church 2300 Bringle Ferry Rd.
