Megan Brady Obituary

Megan L. Brady, 66, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away on March 25, 2026, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through the many lives she touched.

Megan was the kind of woman you didn’t come across often—strong-willed, fiercely loving, and unapologetically herself. She spoke her mind, stood her ground, and loved deeply. To know her was to be welcomed, whether you were family by blood or family by choice, because Megan had a way of becoming “Mom” to just about everyone she met.

Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and the kind of warmth only she could give.

Megan is survived by her children, Boo Blackwelder (single), with sons Chandler Scott Micheal Blackwelder and Micheal Gage Blackwelder; Sissy Rodgers and husband Richard Rogers, with children Bookie and Hunter; Petey Honeycutt (single), with children Bryson Tyler Honeycutt and Riley Grace Honeycutt, and Spanky Honeycutt (single) with sons Mason Graham Hahn and Calem Allen Tyler Honeycutt.

She was also blessed with her great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Hinson and Jayden Wayne Hinson, who brought even more light into her life.

Megan leaves behind her brother, Roy Laten Brady, along with her beloved nieces, Jamie Brady and children, and Amanda Brady (Jonathan Stephens) and children, along with lifelong friends who stood beside her through it all—Debra Hinson, Lisa Gallimore, and Karen and Todd fink.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Allen Brady and Sylvia Jean Wagnor Brady, as well as David Allan Brady and Tyler Brady.

A proud graduate of East Rowan High School, Megan worked at Fiber for many years before retiring in 2008. Outside of work, she found happiness in the simple things- time at the beach, trips to the mountains, and supporting small businesses. She believed in showing up for people, and she did so with her whole heart.

Megans life was defined by her strength, her honesty, and her ability to love without limits. She didn’t sugarcoat things, and she wouldn’t want to sugarcoat this either. She lived her life her way, and she made it count.

Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will live on in every laugh, every story, and every life she helped shape.

She didn’t just live, she left her mark, and that mark will never fade. She said what she meant, loved how she lived, and left this world better than she found it.
