Michael Aaron Waycaster, 51, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at his residence.
Born February 15, 1971 in Tampa, Florida, he was the youngest son of the late William Waycaster, Sr. and Lillian Kluttz Waycaster (living). Michael was a graduate of East Rowan High School: Class of 1989 where he played football.
Michael worked at Sam’s Express Lube for 15 years; there he was a manager. His passion was with “man’s best friend”. All dogs LOVED Michael and the feeling was mutual.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, William Waycaster, Sr. in February 2020 and sister-in-law Julie Carr in May 2020. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lillian Waycaster of Salisbury. Siblings: Kimberly Meng (Allen Stone) of Salisbury, Kevin Carr (Eileen Carr) of Salisbury, Billy Waycaster (Janie Waycaster) of Lexington, David Carr of Salisbury, and twin sister Melanie (Waycaster) Stegall (Steve Stegall). Also, many nieces and nephews along with one great nephew.
The family will receive visitors at Haven Lutheran Church, 207 W. Harrison St., Salisbury, NC 28144, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2022 with memorial service to follow conducted by the Rev. Michael Reavis.
Memorials may be made to the Rowan County Animal Shelter, 1465 Julian Road, Salisbury, NC 28146 in his honor.
