Mildred Louise (Kesler) Brooks

Mildred Louise Kesler Brooks passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2024, at the age of 96.

She was born on July 31, 1927, in Rowan County to the late Thomas Lee Kesler and Katie Belle Cauble. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Horace Brooks.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters Sherry Deadmon (Randy) of the home and Lynn Hunter (Roy) of Lexington, and her grandson John Ross Deadmon.

There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00am on Monday March 4, 2024, at Salem Lutheran Church Parlor, 5080 Sherrills Ford Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147. A service will be at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Ernest B. Sheldon. A burial will follow in the church cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Horace.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to the Salem Lutheran Church.

Special thank you to daughter Sherry and her family, who moved in to take care of Mildred, and to niece Judy Herman who gave love and comfort during the past year.
