Myra Hatley Bost

Myra Hatley Bost ,73, lost the battle with cancer after winning for so many years on June 10, 2026. She passed away with her hand in Gene’s.

Myra graduated 12th grade from Mt. Pleasant High School and got her degree from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. She worked in childcare at Kids Korner Child Development for 35+ years. Her hobbies were cars and spending time with friends and children. She was a member of Good Ole’ Boys Car Club and loved going to car shows and cruise-ins.

Myra is preceded in death by her mother Edith Hatley Deal and stepfather Ernest Deal. She is survived by her husband Gene Bost; sons Chad Bost (Kelly) and Ryan Bost (Sheila); grandson Memphis Bost (Piper); brother David Hatley (Susan); best friend and sister of her heart Cindy Stack; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Novant Hospice of Salisbury.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00-4:00 on Saturday June 20, 2026, at Rodgers Park Reformed Church, 704 E 22nd St, Kannapolis, NC 28083. A small devotion will be held at 1:30. The family asks for attendees to dress casually or to wear a hot rod shirt.
