Nancy (Isley) Whitaker

Nancy Isley Whitaker, 71, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Ridgeway, VA on May 19, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Hopkins Isley and Raymond Isley.

Mrs. Whitaker retired from Centurion Medical in Salisbury. She loved flowers, yard sales, going to the beach and her fish pond.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Lane Whitaker, who passed away on June 18, 2014; brothers, Charles and Walter Isley; sisters, Ruby Holland and Patricia Owens.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rod Whitaker, whom she married on July 12, 1980; grandsons, Nicholas L. Whitaker and Colton L. Whitaker; sons, Toby Whitaker (Robin) of Gastonia, NC and Aaron Whitaker (Jessica) of Rock Hill, SC; brother, Tony Isley (Rhonda) of Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews and her fur babies, Susie and Taz.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Samuel C. Hart Post 14, 5865 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC 28147.
