Norman Ervin Hill, Sr., 78, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Born on August 30, 1943, he was the son of the late Sadie Margaret Ludwig and John Henry Hill.
Mr. Hill worked in the auto body industry for 30 years and was a member of Stallings Baptist Church. He was a true train enthusiast and loved woodworking puzzles. He volunteered at the NC Transportation Museum and volunteered with the Salisbury Christmas Parade for years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Reep Hill; brothers, Harry, Henry, Landon, and John Hill; sister, Mary Link.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Norman E. Hill, Jr. (Eva) of Salisbury and Charles E. Hill of Salisbury; daughter, Sandra Denise Connelly (Bobby) of Walden, NY; sister, Connie Ruth Hill of Salisbury; grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla, Jacqueline, Brett, Dakota, Anthony, and Mikayla and four great grandchildren.
Graveside Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 1134 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC 28144 with the Rev. Dr. Greg Sloop officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NC Transportation Museum, 411 S. Salisbury Ave., Spencer, NC 28159.
